Hi, everyone. Welcome! I'm Alex. This is first foray into publishing. And I'm starting off with a kids book. Never thought I'd publish one, but here we are. I am a kid at heart, so it guess it does make sense. I've been drawing and creating my own characters since the age of 4. Loved comic books and cartoons. Still do. Always carried a sketchbook with me and drew whenever I felt the urge.
In high school, I took a TV/video production class. Enjoyed using video cameras and editing, but really loved being in front of the camera. And in another turn, my friend encouraged me to join the high school radio station, WXBA as a disc jockey. So, I did that too.
I did major in communication arts in college. I also joined the theatre group and acted in every play until I graduated.
Tried my hand at acting and get some work as an extra in movies.
Life did tend to get in the way, but my art always grounded me and helped me find my way back.
Since moving to Florida, I have acted in dinner theatre, wrote a play, screenplays and TV pilots, narrated two audiobooks and directed my own short film.
I do love animals and have 2 dogs, 4 cats and a horse.
And I am an avid fan of movies, theme parks and Halloween.
And that's me. Still a work in progress.
Join me on this new chapter and let's enjoy the journey.

As you get older, you realize the clock is ticking. I don't want to look back in regret at not taking a chance and seeing where the road

I could wallow and just accept this is my life and there's nothing I can do it about it. But do I really want that option? No way.
I want to show my granddaughter and niece that it can be done. What if I come out of the other side of this achieving my goals and succeeding? That's a legacy worth passing on.
You have to start somewhere. And I figure my kids book, Meow Meow & The Lost Doggy is a good enough place to start.
I'm hoping the book will teach children responsibility and care for animals of all kinds.

And you can join in. Always love to see what me fellow artists come up with. Let's keep the art going. It's one of the greatest gifts we can share. The world needs it.
